The ApoB/ApoA1 ratio is among the most discriminating single-number cardiovascular risk markers in large outcome studies, including AMORIS and INTERHEART. It captures both the burden of atherogenic particles (ApoB) and the capacity for reverse cholesterol transport (ApoA1).
