Sermorelin vs ipamorelin — which is right for me?
Short answer
Sermorelin is a GHRH analog acting upstream of the pituitary; ipamorelin is a selective GH secretagogue. They are commonly combined to amplify pulsatile GH release.

Full answer
Sermorelin and ipamorelin both raise endogenous growth hormone but through distinct receptors. Sermorelin is a GHRH analog that triggers pituitary GH release; ipamorelin is a selective ghrelin/GHS receptor agonist with minimal effect on cortisol and prolactin. Combination therapy amplifies pulsatile GH release. Within oMeds review, selection depends on baseline IGF-1, goals, and provider judgment; response is monitored against IGF-1 trend rather than acute GH measurements.
