Our compliance framework for telemedicine and controlled-substance prescribing.

HIPAA-AWAREENCRYPTED IN TRANSITPROVIDER-REVIEWED
§01

Overview

oMeds Health INC. is committed to full compliance with all applicable federal and state laws governing telemedicine and the prescribing of controlled substances, including the Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act.

§02

What is the Ryan Haight Act?

The Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act of 2008 is a federal law that regulates the online prescribing and dispensing of controlled substances. It requires that at least one in-person or qualifying telehealth evaluation be conducted before a controlled substance can be prescribed via the internet.

§03

Our Compliance Framework

All prescribing decisions at oMeds are made by licensed medical providers who evaluate each patient individually based on symptoms, medical history, and laboratory results. No controlled substance is prescribed without a qualifying clinical evaluation.

Our compliance framework includes:

  • Verification of patient identity and residency
  • Completion of clinical intake questionnaires
  • Review of laboratory results and medical history
  • Live video consultations with licensed providers
  • Ongoing monitoring through follow-up labs and check-ins
§04

Telehealth & Prescribing Standards

We adhere to all applicable state telehealth regulations and require that patients reside in states where our providers are licensed. Prescriptions are only issued after a clinical evaluation that meets or exceeds the standard of care for the patient's condition.

§05

Controlled-Substance Prescribing

Controlled substances, including testosterone and other Schedule III medications, are only prescribed when clinically appropriate and in compliance with DEA, state medical board, and Ryan Haight Act requirements. We maintain full documentation and audit trails for all prescribing activity.

§06

Patient Responsibilities

Patients are required to provide accurate medical information, complete all required evaluations, and comply with monitoring protocols including lab work and follow-up appointments. Misrepresentation of medical history or symptoms may result in discontinuation of services.
