What this notice covers
Consumer health data is information that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status — for example, height and weight, a calculated BMI, health history, or interest in a specific treatment. This notice applies when you provide that information to oMeds outside of a clinical relationship, such as in a pre-purchase assessment.
An assessment is a preliminary program-routing step. It is not a diagnosis, not medical advice, and not a determination that treatment is appropriate for you. Only a licensed provider makes that determination, in a live consultation.
What we collect
- Biometrics you enter — height and weight, and the BMI our servers calculate from them.
- Relevant health history — conditions, medications, and prior treatment experience that relate to the program you are considering.
- Location for availability — the U.S. state you live in, used only to check whether a program operates there.
- Technical records — limited security and abuse-prevention records needed to operate the service.
We do not require your name, email address, or phone number to complete an assessment. Assessment responses are stored pseudonymously and are kept logically separate from any identified customer or clinical record.
How we use it
- To determine which optimization pathway is appropriate to present to you.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, and to prevent abuse.
- To meet legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use it for targeted or behavioral advertising. We do not share it with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics tools.
Who we share it with
- Authorized personnel — team members who operate and support the program.
- Service providers — hosting, storage, and security vendors bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Licensed providers — only if you continue into care, and only as needed to deliver that care.
- Legal disclosures — where required by law or valid legal process.
Partner gyms and fitness organizations — including Crunch Fitness — do not receive your assessment answers, your BMI, or any health information you provide to oMeds. Fitness partners provide gym membership, billing, access, and training only.
Consent
We ask for your separate, affirmative consent before collecting consumer health data. Consent is never pre-checked, never bundled with other agreements, and never a condition of using the rest of the site. Declining is always an option and does not affect any gym membership you may have.
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting care@omeds.com. Withdrawal stops further processing of the data collected under that consent.
How long we keep it
- Assessment responses — automatically deleted or de-identified within 90 days.
- Clinical records — if you enter care, retained separately for the period required by applicable medical-records law.
- Security records — retained only as long as needed for security and legal obligations.
Your rights
- Access — request confirmation of, and a copy of, the consumer health data we hold about you.
- Deletion — request deletion of your consumer health data, including from our service providers.
- Withdraw consent — revoke your consent to collection and use at any time.
- Appeal — if we decline a request, you may appeal, and we will respond in writing.
Submit any request to care@omeds.com. We will verify the request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Exercising these rights will never result in discriminatory treatment.
How we protect it
- Encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access restricted to authorized personnel and logged.
- Row-level access controls that keep pre-purchase assessment data separate from identified records.
Changes to this notice
We version our consent language. If we materially change how we handle consumer health data, we will update this notice, change the version stamp, and request fresh consent where required. Questions: care@omeds.com.
Our team can provide signed copies, plain-language summaries, or escalate questions to our compliance team. We respond within one business day.
