Which pathway addresses hair loss?
Hair loss is routed by pattern and cause. Androgenic patterns (men and women) route to finasteride/minoxidil hair restoration. Hormonal shedding in women routes to BHRT review. Iron, thyroid, and ferritin are corrected first.
Full answer
Hair loss has multiple drivers. Provider review screens ferritin, TSH, vitamin D, and recent stressors (telogen effluvium) first — these are reversible. Androgenic alopecia in men is routed to the Hair Restoration pathway (finasteride ± topical minoxidil). Women with androgenic patterns are evaluated for topical minoxidil and select cases for spironolactone. Women with diffuse shedding around the perimenopausal window are evaluated for BHRT when biomarkers and symptoms match. Every initiation requires the standardized biomarker panel and provider video review.
