Which pathway addresses hormone-related anxiety?

Short answer

Anxiety is multifactorial. When biomarkers and timing match, perimenopausal women → BHRT (progesterone often helps). Hyperthyroid screen is mandatory. oMeds is not a primary mental-health provider.

Full answer

Anxiety has hormonal, neurochemical, metabolic, and psychological inputs. Provider review screens thyroid (hyperthyroidism mimics anxiety), caffeine, sleep, and any psychiatric history before considering any pathway. Perimenopausal women with progesterone-pattern anxiety, sleep disruption, and matching biomarkers are evaluated for BHRT (progesterone is often relevant). Men with confirmed low testosterone whose anxiety improves with optimization are evaluated for TRT. oMeds is not a primary mental-health treatment service and refers patients with primary anxiety disorders to appropriate care. Every route is synchronous-video reviewed.

Educational. Not a substitute for individualized provider review.
