Does hormone optimization address anxiety?
Anxiety is screened and treated within its own clinical lane. Peri/menopausal anxiety with matching biomarkers may benefit from BHRT. Confirmed low testosterone in men with matching mood patterns may benefit from TRT. Frank anxiety disorders are referred.
Full answer
Anxiety has a primary clinical pathway in mental health care. Hormone optimization is not a substitute. That said, peri/menopausal anxiety with matching estradiol/progesterone biomarkers and vasomotor context often improves with BHRT. Men with confirmed low testosterone and matching mood patterns may notice anxiety improvement with TRT, though this is secondary to mental-health care. Frank anxiety disorders are referred. Hormone optimization is integrated rather than replacing first-line care.
Educational. Not a substitute for individualized provider review.
