Sermorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone analog that stimulates endogenous growth hormone release. It is reviewed for adults with body-composition, recovery, and sleep goals whose biomarker baseline supports a secretagogue. The workup includes IGF-1, fasting glucose, HbA1c, lipids, and goals review. Contraindications include active malignancy, proliferative diabetic retinopathy, uncontrolled diabetes, and selected pituitary disease. Expectations are framed: gradual recomposition, modest sleep and recovery benefit. Provider review is required.
